Gerd Smeets

Gerd co-founded KeBeK Private Equity in 2012, and is Partner.

From 2005 to 2012, he was an Investment Director in the KBC Private Equity team, where he worked on several buyouts, development capital and mezzanine transactions, in Belgium, France and Central-Europe.

Prior to joining KBC Private Equity, Gerd worked as a consultant for Bain & Co in Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Seoul, where he focused mainly on operational improvement and reorganization projects, as well as on portfolio work and due diligence projects for private equity investors (2000-2005).

Gerd holds an MSc in Commercial Engineering from the University of Leuven and an Msc in International Management from HEC Lausanne.
